Isabelle Fuhrman was born in Washington, the february 25th 1997, and raised in Atlanta. She began acting at seven years old, when a casting director of Cartoon Network cast her for one of the shows called Cartoon Fridays.She also appear in the television serie Justice in 2006, played the character of Grace O’Neil. Her first movie apparition was in the drama Hounddog, in 2007. She played the character of Grasshopper. In 2009, she played in the famous serie Ghost Whisperer. Her performance as Gretchen Dennis earned her a Young Artist Awardnomination. She participate at the Jay Leno Show the same year.
One year after, she’s the main character of the movie Orphan, realised by Jaume Collet-Serra, which was shot in Canada. That’s the movie that reveals her. She played the character of Esther, an orphan adopted by John and Kate Coleman, who’s become evil mostly on the end of the movie. She declare : « That wasn’t scary for me because I was behind the scenes and I was watching it and I was like, I remember that, I remember what we doing there, but when I was on set, I was so in character, I really don’t remember when I was killing someone or hurting someone in the film. I really becoming Esther. I really was Esther »
Between 2009 and 2010, she acting in TV Movie as Children Of The Corn and Pleading Guilty, recorder her voice for The Cleveland Show, and for the character of Hatchling Shelly in the animation movie Sammy’s Adventures : The Secret Passage. In 2011, she play in the serie The Whole Truth, in the episode « Perfect Witness ». An another time she play an important character, nommed Angie, in the adapted movie Salvation Boulevard.
In 2012, The Hunger Games movie come out, also adapted from a book by Suzanne Collinsand realised by Gary Ross. She play in it as the character of Clove. She’s really fan of the book series that she read 9 times. She said about her character and playing a vilain an other time: « I play Clove and she’s from district two. She’s sarcastic, and malicious and visious. I’m a knife thrower. She’s smarter than a lot of the other tributes so she’s not just skilled with weaponry. She’s got more brains than some of the other careers ; and that kinda made her more interesting to me. » « I think it’s more fun because you get to dive into the character’s soul and figure out what made them so bad. »
The same year, she will be acting in the movie The Healer as the role of Michelle - the movie changes and became The Between. She also play Rayna in After Earth, realised by, M.Night Shyamalan, with Will and Jaden Smith. She declared about her character "I play Rayna, who's Jaden Smith's best friend and she has a little crush on him a bit." She takes part in the new David Gordon's remake of the italian horror movie Suspiria as the lead role Suzy, and also in the movie The Wilderness Of James as the character of Val.
